It started with the realization that I'm not as good at writing as I'd like to be. It ended with the finding of The Archives of Ultimate Writing Knowledge, otherwise known as Writing Excuses. It is a writing podcast by three LDS authors. My favorite of the group is Brandon Sanderson, author of Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians, The Mistborn Trilogy, and Elantris. He's EXTREMELY talented. If you don't believe me, ask Peter or John. My second favorite is Dan Howard, author of I Am Not a Serial Killer. My third favorite is....uh....forgot his name. He's author of the web-comic, Schlock Mercenary.
The podcast has been going for two years now and covers just about every writing topic under the sun. It's informative, fun, and free. You can get it from itunes, or you can Google it and listen to it for free on their website. It's worth it. Oh, by the way, each podcast is only fifteen minutes.
